The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is the fastest production sports car with MOT approval. With a top speed of 431 km / h 1200 bhp rocket has secured a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
In two test runs on the test site of the VW -Konzerns in Ehra-Lessien, the maximum values were 427.9 km / h and 434.2 km / h determined by GPS Speedometer. The representatives of TUV and Guinness have therefrom the average speed of 431.1 km / h is calculated. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport is a further development of the known Veyron 16.4 with 1,001 horsepower.
His unprecedented force draws the Super sport from a 16-cylinder engine which delivers a maximum torque of 1000 Nm. The maximum speed of the serial high-performance sprinter is limited to protect the tires to 415 km / h – but the technique is the same as in the record car. The audience of the new Bugatti shows for the first time in mid-August at various events in California. From autumn he then rolls together with the Grand Sport and the Veyron in Molsheim from the tapes. The first five cars – the so-called “World Record Edition” – have already been sold.
